Child Sponsorship Program
Our child sponsorship program is about helping children in every area.
First the spiritual needs are met, but the material, education, social, physical needs are important too. We want the children to have an education, receive basic medical and dental care, clothes, food etc. Teaching as mentoring to follow Christ as His disciples is the most important , not just growing up to be healthy and educated.
We work in the family setting and work with the co-operation of the parents of the child to make the total program work. Unless we have the full agreement of the parents that the entire family will be committed to the program we will not work with their child(ren) This is done simply because the program works best that way. There are many willing parents and more children than we have finances and sponsors for, so we want to utilize the sponsorship program where it can get the best possible results.
Our sponsored children are sometimes from complete families, But in many cases they only have a single parent (usually mum) . When a child is an orphan (no mum and dad) we try to place them into a complete family. In every case however the family or parent does not have the resources to take care of the child needs that includes education, medical etc.
The parents are required to work with our councilor who supervises our aid, and attend the church and be involved with its relevant programs.
